Accessibility at Hampton Court Castle
Parking & Entrance
The car park has a designated area for Blue Badge holders who require the closest parking spaces, please follow the signposts for disabled parking. Once parked there is a ground and gravel track that leads to the Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre has a large entrance door and is staffed throughout the day. If you require any further assistance travelling from the car park then please let staff in the Visitor Centre know, they will be happy to help.
Gardens & Orangery Café
The formal gardens are wheelchair accessible (80%) via either flagstone, gravel or wood chipped paths. The river walks are only accessible down a few steps, across grassed paths and lawns, weather permitting. There is plenty of seating in the grounds. The Orangery Cafe is accessed across the South Lawns and has large entrance doors, including a ramp.
The Castle
Castle Tours are accessed via the Arkwright Courtyard across flagstones, then through large oak doors to either flagstone, wooden or carpeted floors. We do not have a lift to view the bedrooms but a selection of photographs are available for those unable to use the stairs.
Toilet
The accessible toilet is located next to the Orangery Cafe.
Entry for carers is free of charge.
We look forward to welcoming you and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
